Meet Dr. Lamb!
Dr. Alycia Lamb received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Colby College. She then attended Harvard where she completed all the prerequisite course work for veterinary school. She moved from Boston to the Pacific Northwest with her faithful canine companion, Fritz, to attend Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lamb received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, and moved to Seattle to begin her career in small animal medicine.
Dr. Lamb grew up working with children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. Her mother, a physical therapist, directed a camp on Martha's Vineyard Island where Dr. Lamb ran the therapeutic horseback-riding program.
As her career in veterinary medicine progressed, Dr. Lamb realized that there was a lack of physical rehabilitation for her canine and feline patients. She completed a certificate program from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2005, to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, and the first one to practice in Seattle. She opened Sunset Hill Vet & Rehab Ctr. to combine the two professions she adored: General Veterinary Practice and Physical Rehabilitation. Her goal was to create an environment that supported all the medical needs of her patients while providing comfort and reassurance to the patients as well as the clients.
Dr. Lamb lives in Ballard with her family, including her cat, Blizzard, and dogs, Beryl and Little Bee. In her spare time (of which there is very little!) she enjoys gardening, reading, running and tennis.
Meet Dr. Smith!
Dr. Kelli Smith has always been a true Northwesterner. Growing up in Snohomish, WA, she realized her passion for helping animals at an early age and first began working with animals while volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation facility. Dr. Smith pursued her undergraduate work at the University of Oregon and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2009. Following veterinary school, Dr. Smith completed a small animal internship at Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine, primarily working in emergency medicine.
Her love of working with clients and developing long-lasting relationships with people and their pets, however, led her to become a general practitioner, returning to the Pacific Northwest with her family, including their two kitties Zoe and Trinity. Dr. Smith and her husband Tom are also the proud new parents of their beautiful, healthy newborn Logan.
When not at the clinic, she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and ballroom dancing. Professionally, Dr. Smith's areas of special interest include dentistry and feline medicine, which led her to become a member of both the American Veterinary Dental Society and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
Meet Dr. Guan!
Dr. Michelle Guan obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from New York University with a pre-veterinary medicine focus. She then moved to the West Coast and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California Davis. Soon after, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Seattle Veterinary Specialists where she practiced emergency medicine and worked alongside veterinary specialists to provide high quality, tailored medical care for her patients. Dr. Guan is very much enjoying living in the Pacific Northwest and shares her home with her husband, a Corgi-mix named Charlie, and a British Shorthair cat, named Persephone.
During her free time, Dr. Guan likes cooking, baking, exploring the outdoors and getting to a Cross Fit gym as much as she can. She is delighted in joining the Sunset Hill Team and is looking forward to building long-term connections with her future patients and clients!
Meet Dr. Martin!
Dr. Kim Martin obtained her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Even though she considers living on California's central coast as living in paradise, she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest while attending veterinary school at Oregon State University. Prior to vet school, Dr. Martin had every intention of becoming a mixed animal practitioner but decided to limit her practice to dogs and cats after realizing that the human-animal bond was the most rewarding aspect of Veterinary Medicine. After one year of veterinary practice in Aberdeen, she moved to the Seattle metropolitan area working in practices in Woodinville and Kirkland. Thrilled to be joining an excellent team at SHVRC, she looks forward to completing specialized training in Veterinary Acupuncture.
When not working, Dr. Martin loves reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and their three pets (two dogs and one cat).
Jennifer Kimball pictured here with Moe Stripey, is our practice manager as well as a licensed veterinary technician. She moved from Maine with her then 3 kitties to help Dr. Lamb start Sunset Hill. While working as a technician in ME at an all cat practice, Jen developed a softness for felines. She especially finds the oriental cats mesmerizing. In her spare time, Jen enjoys many outside activities as well as soaking up the Seattle sunshine reading at the beach.
Originally from Boston, Ashlee is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She brought her passion for animals to the Pacific Northwest in January 2008. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology and went on to explore specialty veterinary medicine by working as a surgery and ER technician. She joined the team at Sunset Hill in February 2009, eager to meet all of you and provide the best quality medical care to your beloved companions. Ashlee treats every patient as if they are her own and goes to every extent to ensure they have the most comfortable experience possible. She has three wonderful cats: Twix, Sandra, and Jossi, home in Boston and two rambunctious boys that live here in Seattle named Oliver and Toby. When she's not at the clinic, she finds time to read, spend time with friends and explore this beautiful city.
Caitlin is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who joined our team in December of 2008. Caitlin is a master organizer and keeps Sunset Hill running smoothly and efficiently! She has a soft spot for the pups, and is always snuggling them and making their experience here as pleasant as possible. She is also known as our "Chihuahua Whisperer" and has two Chihuahuas herself: a furry girl named Ella and her doggie soul-mate boy named Finnley, whose paws are tattoo'd on her wrist!
Caitlin is very excited to be on the Sunset Hill team and looks forward to making and meeting many more friends, furry and not!
Erika has been with us since early 2011. As Office Manager, she truly enjoys client interaction while hearing the barks and meows of each new day! Though her passion for music led her to work in the industry with her family for over seven years, she decided it was time to switch gears and focus on her other love...animals!
Erika has a BA in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University and completed the Veterinary Assistant Course through North Seattle Community College.
Next to road trips & traveling with her husband, Jon, she also treasures spending time with her family in Seattle and Los Angeles. Visiting museums, star-gazing and any moment spent outdoors or on the water, make her truly happy. Erika looks forward to meeting you at Sunset Hill!

Von discovered her passion for animals, after adopting her two kitties, Milo and Chance. Now she hopes to work toward a Veterinary Technician license and work with wildlife.

Von is so excited to be a part of the Sunset Hill family and is looking forward to working with so many awesome pets!
Kelly joined our team in 2015 as an Office Coordinator and Veterinary Assistant. We first met her when she brought her own furry best friend, Phil, into Sunset Hill to see Dr. Lamb! She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has loved all animals since before she can remember. A graduate from the University of Washington, Kelly plans to someday go to veterinary school.
When she's not enjoying her time learning new things at work, Kelly is hanging out with her buddy Phil - who has prosthetic eyes!- And her adorable 24-toed kitty, Kona. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, is an avid movie-watcher, and loves to paint and write.
Krista is originally from Maine but loves her new home in the PNW! She has a BS in Environmental Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and has worked all sorts of jobs relating to ecology and animals, ever since.
Starting as an Office Coordinator in September of 2015, Krista loves to interact with customers of both the two and four legged variety.
Her other passions include cooking and baking and she loves to share her treats! Currently a foster parent for dogs, she would love to some day run a rescue of her own and save all varieties of animals!
